Hello, we are social. We are a conversation agency. We help brands to listen, understand and engage in conversations in social media.

We’re a new kind of agency, but conversations between people are nothing new. Neither is the idea that ‘markets are conversations’.

We’re already helping Ford, Skype, Eurostar, The Economist, Absolut, Dunlop, Barclaycard and the WWF.
If you’d like to chat about us helping you too, then give us a call on +44 20 7576 5137 or drop us an email.

The Intention Economy

by Robin Grant in News on 21 October 2009 at 16:42

David Gillespie has been burning the midnight oil producing this epic 260 slide presentation, which covers a lot of ground, including his thoughts about the ‘Intention Economy’, in an incredibly compelling way. As you’ll see from the opening slides, it has a particular resonance for us here at We Are Social. Over to him:

Surely a 260 slide presentation is far too big! ;)
  • I like it.

This deck isn't for agency folk though to be honest. We know this sh*t (or at least I hope we all do?). This deck is for clients. More specifically clients who are senior enough within their organisations to make the changes necessary.
  • In thinking about "agency folk", for me it runs a very wide gamut, form the readers of this blog (who are clearly enlightened and very attractive) to those who still feel TV is the be all and end all. My intent is to humbly try and add something to the conversation, and since we're here, I am happy, and glad you enjoyed!
  • This worries me. It worries me more that the TV be all and end all type are almost certainly earning a higher salary than me.

The injustices in the world are enough to make baby Jesus cry.
  • That made me smile.

Tragically because it is probably true, and not just for you my friend.
  • it's good to check your thinking from time to time. even if we work in one of the silos - advertising/marketing should be about the total message not just one campaign/technology/offer.
  • It's like Lord Of The Rings, it doesn't seem like that long.

Unless you didn't like lord Of The Rings.

Then I imagine it seemed really long.

    Reeeeally long.

Thanks for the link guys =]
  • Thanks David for pulling that together for all the non-experts out here. Fascinated by the possibilities and wondering just where we are.
  • wow, what a cool Social Media Presentation!

Thanks to David for the excellent work!

    kind regards form Austria
